GOOM Radio, the first real internet radio of France, has added 'Soul Company' to the playlist of their channel ROCK YOUR LIFE!

Skope Magazine had 1,742,617 hits in November 2008 with 100,000 streams per month and growing. And they just added HOGNI's 'Soul Company' on their radio playlist.

Platform One in the USA picked HOGNI to be a part of an on campus college campaign. They've made a compilation CD with selected bands, and HOGNI's two songs 'Soul Company' and 'How High' are featured on the CD. They've printed 10.000 CD's and 20.000 download cards which they distribute to 100 college and university areas all over the U.S.
The campaign started two weeks ago, and will continue for another two months or so. Platform One just hosted a charity benefit concert with Kings of Leon.

After playing at this year's MIDEM, held in Cannes, France, HOGNI was invited to be a part of a project called 'New Names'. A big Russian record company, Style Records, is profiling upcoming artists from Russia, and also artists from outside of Russia. This is a national campaign, where they will work together with partners that reach all the way from one side of Russia to the other. Here, the featured song is 'How High', and so far it has already been played twice on Russian radio.

HOGNI has been selected to perform at this years MIDEM Talent held in Cannes, France!
MIDEM is one of the major music industry gatherings in Europe.

The Atlantic Music Event (AME) showcase of Faroese music, held at NASA in Reykjavk, Iceland was a succes! Six Faroese bands (Marius, Gestir, Deja Vu, Makrel, Lena, Høgni Lisberg) performed, together with Icelandic band Dikta. The Icelandic media has been playing a lot of Faroese music lately, and the songs Morning Dew (Høgni Lisberg) and Can´t Earase It (Lena) are on the A-playlist (most performed songs at the moment) of national radio Rás 2.

We all had a really good time, and all of us really enjoyed performing in Iceland. Icelanders are such kind people, and you always feel welcome when visiting!

Morning Dew is "Album of the week" on Rás 2, national radio on Iceland this week. This is a good warm-up to the big AME concert at Nasa, the event that includes 5 Faroese bands and one Icelandic band, performing on Saturday April 22nd. Well be performing at Grand Rokk on Friday April 21st and at Nasa on April 22nd. There will also be live performances on national TV and radio programs during the stay in Iceland. "Just Dig" from the new album hit nr. 1 last Saturday on the Faroese hitlist! This is the second single from the new album. The first single was "Learn to Ride on Waves", which stayed at nr. 1 for 5 weeks.

Høgni and the band will be a part of the first Asfalt festival ever to be held on the Faroe Islands. The festival takes place in the centre of Tórshavn on the 2nd and 3rd of June on six different scenes, both indoors and outdoors.

Høgni signed a booking deal for the Benelux area with Artist Management & Agency in Belgium in January. Through this deal Høgni got a distribution deal of the album Morning Dew for the Benelux area with big distribution company PIAS.

Høgni's new album "Morning Dew" won the Planet Award on the Faroe Islands last night for "Best Album 2005"

Morning Dew is once again nominated as album of the year. The brand new award show on the Faroe Islands, "Planet Awards", has nominated Morning Dew amongst five different albums to be album of the year. The voting will be announced on the 28th of January. 

The Faroese newspaper Dimmalætting has nominated "Morning Dew" amongst 5 albums to be Album of the Year on the Faroe Islands 2005. The nominees are:
